Christianity Is Not A Guilt Trip - Motivation & Inspiration - by Alfred

1 John 2:1 KJV
My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

Christianity is not a guilt trip.
Christianity is not about recognizing all the wrong things you have done and burying yourself under mountain of guilt whose height and depth in your eyes is in proportion to the magnitude of sin you've committed, like being buried in guilt is the morally appropriate punishment for sin.

Well, it maybe for the world but it is not so for Christians.
In Christianity we REPENT of our sins.

Repenting doesn't mean feeling guilty and dirty, as many people have been given the impression that, that is what it means.

Repenting simply means asking God for forgiveness (which he does the very instance or split second you ask honesty), then the second step is to decide in your heart that you would never commit that sin again (that means you turn your back on committing that sin anymore; you do a 180 degrees).

Now even if you fall back down again later in the future it doesn't mean you never repented. It means you repented; turned on a new leaf but later fell down again.

So what do you do now?
You repent again. You get back up again and continue your Christian Journey.

If you fall down a thousand times, get back up a thousand times.
However, each time you get up make up your mind that you would never fall down again.
